Week7:Should young girls be put in birthcontrol??
There are so many young girls and boy having sex these day and there is really no one that can stop them. I mean of course there parents are telling them not to have sex and that they are to young and are just not ready for that kind of responsibility. There are so many advertisments on TV and so much peer presure that most kids come across and to be honest its not that easy for people to resist. One advertisement that I do agree with is birthcontrol. I believe birthcontrol is one of the best things that could help women prevent pregnancy. Yes I know what your all thinking, why dont you just practice abstanance, well it dosent always happen that way. People are still going to have Sex!! This is why I totally agree with birthcontrol. Alot of parents dont believe that their young daughters should be put on birthcontrol because they think they are to are young and are not mature enough for it, but most of the people that are having sex are young teens and those are the people that are having babies. I believe that if think your young daughter shouldnt be on birthcontrol then you just do not have a good open mind and fail to realize the truth that is going on today. Atleast your kids are being honest and are trying to get help but if you refuse to get help for them then how do you expect them to help theirselves. This is why I think kids and their parents should have a good open minded relationship with eachother.

Excellent point of view! Alot of parents dont understand that they have children that are doing these things. Then they are the ones that are "disappointed" when they become grandparents at the age of 35. The kids know what they are doing, and at this day in age advertisement is really hard to shake. So why not be put on birthcontrol.
ReplyDeleteI agree! Even if your child isnt having sex i think they still should be put on birthcontrol in highschool or atleast college, because they are more likely to have sex during that time. Birthcontrol is a safe way to prevent having a child when your not ready, which will prevent abortions.

ReplyDeleteDo you think girls know how to get birth control, even if they can't talk to their parents? I think the issue here, as you mentioned, is the open relationship with parents. Great topic.
